ABOUT
PROJECT
“INVISIBLE ON THE SURFACE, BUT RESIDING ON FLOAT AND IN ANOTHER PLANE WHERE IT IS APPEARABLY DEEPER”
The online exhibition “SUBMARINES” is a group project of Marina Bartosh, Anastasia Georgievskaya and Marina Skepner, built at the intersection of various artistic strategies and poetics,
conceptualizing the experience of motherhood. In the exhibition “SUBMARINES”, participants reflect on the “images” of the mother: through the eyes of the child or the mother herself, the “image” of the mother artist, as well as motherhood and society, inextricably linked to the fear of isolation, which is in tune with the current general agenda. The heroines of the project, being one generation, build creative collaborations with their children in their own way and pay special attention to the role of documentation in the experience of emotional rapprochement and artistic reflection of motherhood.
A virtual exhibition is implemented in the personal "halls" of each artist, which are gradually "filled" throughout the duration of the project.
The exhibition is divided into personal "halls" of each of the participants of the online exhibition. They are united by 5 common theme blocks, access to which will be opened gradually: “My memory”, “My puzzle”, “My co-author”,
“My child” and “About author”.
The first and last blocks are available from the first day of the exhibition.
